Winslow Mortimer was a comic book and comic strip artist best known as one of the major illustrators of the DC comics superhero SUPERMAN. He also drew for MARVEL and GOLD KEY. This original daily came from his estate. This is a RARE trial daily for a purposeful strip called \"PROFESSOR TIPP\". It was never produced. This wonderful example is completely inked, except for the words that have just been penciled. Excellent condition. There is some browning on the edges, and a couple of slightly bent corners, but it does not affect the artwork. Drawn of medium weight strathmore artist board. Overall size is 7.5\"x23\". Not sure of the date on this, probably late 1950\'s. A wonderful collector\'s piece from one of the best illustrators of all time. This would look great matted and framed.
