Rare Original WWII M1 Helmet Liner Hawley Fiber Chaplain Officer. Comes from a WWII Officer estate directly. The Officer insignia is of gold color, it looks like the cross was painted on top.

Condition is amazing and excellent see all pictures.

I believe this is the second pattern cotton suspension. Nape str is size 3 by Frost Co.

The suspension is intact, no rust or stains. Silver metal hardware. The leather sweet band has green metal hardware and has a stamp from the Mfg Co.

The other cotton shell has no cuts.

The online defect that I can see is a small paint crack on the inside of the visor see picture.

Hawley are hard to find and even harder to find in such original condition.
