A rare opportunity to buy a very early form of brass candlestick of pricket form. The colour is exceptional and they haven\'t been over polished. The stems are slightly lighter where they have been handled which is a very pleasing feature. They measure 17.5 inches in height and the bases 4.75 inches in diameter. They size probably indicates that they are ecclesiastical in origin or from a very grand house. They date pre 1700 and are probably French. They are in excellent all round original condition and free from any repairs or damage of any kind. They do stand straight despite how they appear in the pictures. They are fresh to the market from a private collection and have been in storage for the pst 30 years.
