I have done considerable research regarding this item and cannot find anything quite like it. It is 10 1/2\" tall and perhaps it once had a lid? At its widest point it is about 8 1/2\" wide. It weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. There are no chips cracks or restoration. As you can see from the photos there is a manufactured hole so it cannot hold liquids. The scene is the same on both sides. Perhaps it is just decorative? I believe this it is quite old being made prior to 1900 but I can\'t be sure. Postage is $15.00.A helpful er has informed me that it is the base for an oil lamp!
