A magnificent vintage huge porcelain Royal Doulton fighter elephant figurine, c.1982. This model was retired in 1992. The piece is approximately 24 inches long and 12 inches high. One foot is marked with Royal Doulton green mark, Made in England, England, Hn 2640, 26-4-82 and three dots. Another foot is marked \"Exhibition use only\". The figurine is in very condition. The tusk is broken off and is included. A few small scratches on elephant body, that noticeble only with close up examination. The figurine displays beautiful. That what an expert says about this item: \"This is a Royal Doulton Fighter Elephant designed by Charles Noke and produced between the years of 1952 to 1992. These had a very high price ($2550-2625) in the 1990\'s-2005 or so, but have come down a bit since. The retail value of this piece today is $1500 to $1800.00. You would insure this piece for $4500.00 (retail value plus loss/sentimental value)\".
