This is a rare Royal Doulton Sung Vase designed by Noke c.1930s. This type of flambe glaze was termed \"sang-de-boeuf\" (ox blood) due to the color. This highly collectible vase, part of the Royal Doulton Sung series, depicts two owls perched on a branch. It was designed by Charles Noke and probably painted by Fred Moore (FM on the base - photos). Excellent original condition. Base diameter 2 3/8\" (6 cm), top diameter 2 7/8\" (7.3 cm), height 5 5/8\" (14.3 cm) and weight 0.24 kg. A really beautiful vase.
