This dashing fellow will make a wonderful addition to your early American cloth doll collection. Standing, 17\" tall, thischarming printed, stuffedcloth, \"Columbian Sailor\", boy has well designed, printedfeatures including lovely blue eyes, eyelids, brows, nose, pink cheeksand sweetly shaped mouth as well as curly blond hair, has been sailing around a verylongas the printed patent information and date on the back of his cap attests: Arnold Print Works. Pat. Jan.31, 1893. Beautifully printed on both sides in dark red, navy blue, gold and brownhe wears a fitted navy jacket decorated with lots of gold and red trimmings, gold buttons and beltover red and black striped trousersand long brown buttoned boots with gold trim and a red cap with black headband covering his curly blond hair showing his exposed ears. Considering he has been \"at sea\" for over 122 years his general condition is quite good with a few lovingly stitched repairs, (under each arm, atboth sleeves and a small one on the side seam of his trouser leg) face as some light water marks andone hand shows wear. See himdescribed on page 8,\"Playthings by the Yard\"-Whitton as well as on page 98, \"Doll Values\', 11th edition-Edward.
