Solid sterling silver buffet serving dishes are scarce and much sought after as quality pieces of silver for the ardent collector. They are usually made using silver plate. This one is sterling silver, each separate piece is hallmarked London 1932 and maker’s marks for Catchpole & Williams Ltd.The covered tureen dish is elegantly simple in its styling with a nod to the Georgian style. It is decorated with a simple reeded pattern. It has a removable loop handle.It’s in excellent vintage condition with no appreciable sign of wear; no damage or faults to report, some very light utensil scratches to the base’s inner surface. Description Solid sterling silver buffet serving dishes are scarce and much sought after as quality pieces of silver for the ardent collector. They are usually made using silver plate. This one is sterling silver, each separate piece is hallmarked London 1932 and maker’s marks for Catchpole & Williams Ltd; retailers in Oxford Street, London.

The elegant covered tureen dish is elegantly simple in its styling with a nod to the Georgian style of an earlier era. Its rims and lid are decorated with a simple reeded pattern. The removable loop handle is similarly decorated to match.

It’s in excellent vintage condition with no appreciable sign of wear; no damage or faults to report, some very light utensil scratches to the base’s inner surface. The photos form part of the description and condition report.

Measures: H8cm x 27cm x 19.5cm wide excluding the loop handle; weighs 1375g combined.
