Sterling Silver

Very rare set of 4 sterling silver menu holders, each having a fishing fly set into them behind glass , the flies are all handpainted watercolours and thought to possibly just be a one off set possibly made for a special order.

They are hallmarked from Chester in 1922 with the makers mark being that of Grey & Co.

They come with original case and are in excellent order, they do however require polished, we have part polished just the one but have refrained from doing anymore for fear of any of the polish getting near the water colours.

They are of 2 sizes, 2 measure 71mm in diameter and 2 measure 62mm.

A wonderful set, both rare and desireable.
