Please note: I will be away from 11/19-11/26, so purchases will be shipped as soon as possible thereafter...A very nice, elegant, and most aesthetically-pleasing pair of Volkstedt parian classical porcelain vases/urns raised on nicely-detailed bases of complementary form.I had ONE other like pair, about 17-18 years ago, and haven\'t seen another in the interim.These are now listed at...comfortably-under-half my original, discounted cost...... \'nuff said, perhaps.Just a wonderful look, for any mantle, shelf, furniture top, clock garniture, etc.....They measure 9.5\" high, the urns themselves 4.5\" high, and the base 5\" square; 3 1/8\" diameter, at the topA relatively pure-white, as is typical of parian porcelain. They do have a subtle sheen, and are not chalky-textured as with
bisque porcelain. A very nice effect, complementing perfectly the form...Amidst all the impressive furnishings and architectural elements one may have in a given room/area....it\'s the smaller elements such as this that can draw the eye and, thus, become perhaps the most important additions...!!!There are a few losses to the floral swags, and one of the urns is slightly canted from one or two angles, on it\'s base, but otherwise and overall very good and presentable condition. One does have stud and nut visible on the base underside; both urn uppers appear to have been glued/reglued at some point. Sound and stable, ready for use and presentation.Per info. I found online, the marks appear to be those indication late 18th century, but....I am not an expert on this, so please purchase per your own perception and understanding.
