This Palshus vase was made in Denmark. The company was in business from 1949 till 1972. The vase is incised on the bottom \"Palshus Denmark\" and the what looks like the initials \"TB\". This particular shape appears to be more uncommon than some others. The piece measures 13\" tall and 3\" in diameter at the bottom. The opening in the top is very small - only about 3/4\" in diameter. The color in the pictures is a little darker than the actual color of the vase. The actual color is between dark cream color and tan, it is NOT brown.
There are some small marks on the finish that look like cracks or stains, but a closer look makes us think they are part of the actual finish. You cannot wash them off and they are not raised. The finish might be similar to haresfur glaze.
The vase by itself weighs 2 lbs. 4 oz.
