Rare Victorian C19th Fretwork Oak Cigar Box or Humidor ? Has the name C N Swift New York and the date 25th July 1888 on the lead base and also on the removable back plate .
It is lead lined I think and in good condition as per pics with just the small escutcheon missing.
Lock is present but no key .
Measures 10inches long and 4 inches high.
I suspect the hinges may have been replaced at some point but I\'m not sure.
Very good quality box.
Has a blank cartouche ready to engrave for that special personalised unique gift.
