Miss Lulu, is a Vintage Gre PoirBoudoir Bed Doll from 1927 - 1930. GrePoir dolls were made by the FrenchDollmakers Company.
She has a moldedcloth face with an all cloth body. Herhead and arms are jointed and moveable. Doll is all original and authentic.
Her face is in good condition as is herbrown mohair wig. Her arms and legshave water marks and light soiling andyellowing.
Her arms are a little bitloose. Her torso is stuffed withexcelsior or straw. All in all the bodyis good condition.
Her facehas a few age freckles but stillmaintains good color. The white dot onher lower lip is a distinguishing markof the Gre Poir doll.
She is 24\" tall. The dress is original to her when Igot her. It appears to be silk with afaded pattern either stenciled, printedor painted except for the front panelwith vintage narrow black lace accentsand a black silk ribbon around thebodice. The dress is in fair conditionwith yellowing, fading, holes, pulls,snags, and lipstick stains throughout.I did not dare soak it for fear itwould completely melt.
I did \"mend\" twoholes (one rather large) and add theblack lace around the bottom of thedress
to help to re-enforce it andcamouFlage mends.
The matchingpantaloons are in similar condition butstill maintain the pattern.
Her shoesappear to be original to her and areappropriate.
The vintage flowers in herhair and ruffled petticoat was added byme.
Miss Lulu is so very adorableand a nice example of a Gre Poir.
She would make a wonderful addition to any boudoir dollcollection.
