Rare Vintage Chinese Carved Bakelite ? Figurine Asian Man :

This is s very scarce figurine circa 1920 and is the only one I have ever seen. It is an elderly Chinese man, beautifully carved out of one solid piece of Bakelite. The Bakelite is a beautiful tan butterscotch color. He is very tall, measuring 10 3/4\" with the base. The carving is magnificent and very detailed, including the hair, drapping of his wardrobe, necklace and his hands are also very details and exquisitely carved. I believe he isplaying a lute?
The Bakelite does have spotting on it ~ not sure if this was due to age or weather?I haven\'t noticed any markings or signatures ~
