I found this rare vintage Erzgebirge music box at an estate sale and I believe the people running the sale overwound it. I do not know how to fix this but I know with a little knowledge it can be done and will be well worth it. The small hand painted wooden figures are adorable and are very solid. I do know that the girl is missing her balloon and that the baby carriage handle needs to be reglued to the mom\'s hand. The children are on a rotating disk. This measures 10\" tall and the base is 6\" and footed. No chips or worn paint. The tree is made of curled wood shavings and one side is a little flat - see photo. This was made at some time between 1962 and 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down. It has it\'s original Expertic East German sticker on the bottom.

Most of what I list is from estate sales and sales so I don\'t always have alot of information but I will do my best to convey what I do know. Some items need a good cleaning from years of sitting in an attic, basement or garage. I will note if that is the case. I can not warrant if the home these items came from is pet or smoke free so please do not ask that question. A good cleaning can usually remove any smell if you use the right products.
