RARE VINTAGE RETCH & COMPANYLUSTERWARE PITCHER CREAMER 1920\'sThis is a rare vintage Retch and Company lusterware pitcher or creamer. It is about 3.25 inches round (not counting the handle) by 5 inches tall.There are no chips or cracks. It does have some wear on the handle (some of the orange is missing) and it has a manufacturing defect (extra pottery drop on one side).The RCW backstamp, a triangle configured arounda small flower, is from Retsch & Co. of Wunsiedel (a city and district inNortheast Bavaria) and they used this particular symbol on their waresimmediately after World War I. Underglaze base chips are a common manufacturingprocess of that era. Based on the backstamp I believe this is from the 1920\'s. A must have for your collection.
