The plastic cover of the case is stapled (closed) to the base and the rose is fastened from the inside out and has never been removed. However, the cover has been squeezed a bit such that the large, side leaf has poked through the plastic. It is hard to see in photo but is there. The leaf is not damaged in any way, shape, or form.This was purchased from a Lladro dealer in Madrid, Spain in the 1970\'s and I assume it is rare because I see no others on or by conducting a Google search.
