This ad is primarily for folks who know vintage Navajo rugs.I don\'t know much, but have spoken to experts and it seems to be the consensus that is was made in the early decades of the 1900\'s.
I am open to new information to make the listing more accurate.It has a couple corners that are fraying. The red dye has bled into the white/grey, giving it a light pink color on one side. There are a couple animal spots or dropped drink spots...not sure.I spoke with a well respected expert in the field and the estimate to restore it to museum quality is between $1,500 and $2,000. After restoration, I am told it would probably sell for over $10,000...but it would take a while to sell it at that price.The total weight of the rug is 16 pounds.Please zoom in and examine it carefully.
