These modernist brass candle-holders are marked with Gunnar Ander’s joined initials “GA” and “Ystad Metall Made In Sweden”

Measuring approximately 3 inches in height by five and one eighths inches in width across the base,

Heavy brass hand-soldered together these modernist candle-holders are one of Gunnar Ander’s iconic designs for Ystad Metall.

Many examples of Ystad Metall’s modernist brass were included in the company’s exhibition display at the 1939 New York World’s Fair.

These candle-holders are generally in very good condition with an older darker patina.

There is some variation to the patina as well as some small markings here and there.

There are a few small scratches and markings on the underside base as well as some candle wax residue inside.

Originally, they would have been highly polished with an intense golden brass color (which can be done again).
