Very Rare Vintage c 1936 WALT DISNEY \"MICKEY MOUSE\" 23 Piece Children\'s TEA SET Made In Japan c 1936 Description
- From a local private estate I am pleased to offer a rare vintage teaset made for Walt Disney Productions.
- This is a child\'s teaset featuring may different scenes with Mickey and Minnie Mouse
- Made in Japan for the Walt Disney Company and imported by the George Borgfeldt Corporation of New York
- Dated from 1936 - based on reference material found
- Complete with original tag - this item was purchased c 1975 at the Disneyland Antique Shop in Anaheim, California by the existing owner; they received the photocopy of the set indicating it was marketed in 1936 by George Borgfeldt Corporation of New York
- The set consists of 23 pieces, a teapot and lid, cream, sugar and lid and six 3 piece trios (cup/saucer/plate)
- Each trio cup/saucer/plate set has a different design
- The designs feature Mickey and Minnie in a variety of poses - I have attempted to photograph the various scenes
- All pieces in excellent undamaged condition; I wish to point out that the lid to the creamer has likely been replaced (but a PERFECT fit). There are also a few underglaze black blobs (kiln debris)
- One of the trio sets has a mismatched cup, but it is not material to the overall charm of the complete set (and it is a virtually perfect match to one of the other complete trios)
- Complete with the original Disneyland store tag when purchased by previous owner c 1975
