This is a rare original WW1 GERMAN OFFICER SWEETHEART PORTRAIT BROOCH made from silver / gold plated with a nice 4 stone setting. Makers marked (hallmarked) on reverse SILB JOUBLE, the SILB stands for Silver. This type of brooch was made made by a German Jeweler during the First World War and was usually worn by the Officers wife whilst her husband was fighting on the front line.

The reverse also has a fastening pin and C catch. A rare piece of German WW1 history to add to your military collection.
