Rare antique 1910 LEVI\'S ADVERTISING CARD - \"Compliments of LEVI STRAUSS & CO. [trademark logo illustration] KOVERALLS Keep Kids Klean\". This sign-style announcement is printed on the back of an illustrated activity card, which has an illustration of the \"Landing of the Pilgrims\" in a picture frame and an illustration of a frame stand, both of which were to be cut out and folded together to look like an actual frame, and thereby destroying the Levi\'s ad on the reverse. At the bottom of the illustrated side it says \"Copyright 1910 by F. E. Powers\"; the \"Compliments of...\" on the other side suggests that it is some sort of promotional giveaway item or advertising premium. It is so uncommon that I can\'t find any others for sale online. An online article about Levi\'s says that \"The Koverall, designed in 1912 for children (“Koveralls keep kids klean!”), was the first product that Levi Strauss sold nationally\"; the date discrepancy is probably because the art would have been copyrighted in 1910, then in 1912 or shortly thereafter used by Levi\'s for the Koveralls. Measures 12x10 inches.
