Japanese Imari Barbers bowl Edo period C 1700s

Beautiful piece,well decorated with traditional underglaze blue,overglaze red,green and gold.This is an original barbers bowl used when shaving,showing signs of use and wear but not excessive,a working piece and not just a display item in excellent condition, quite scarce as many were lost,damaged or restored.Measures 25.5 cm wide x 7.5 cm high.It has no chips,no cracks and no restoration,rare in this condition.Makes a great display item,note at factory purpose made holes in rim for a loop to hand up when not used.
