Stamped on back for gold content. This is an NOS watch vintage 8mm opening watchband buckle from around the 1950s/60s. Buckle opening size of 8mm, so it will fit many ladies vintage watch straps, especially tapered bands. Often these are leather straps with 8mm 9mm 10mm 11mm 12mm 13mm or 14mm lug end sizes where the band attaches to the watch. Top to bottom clearance through the buckle is 7.5mm so this will work with lightly padded or unpadded style straps, not newly made heavily padded thick bands.
