Standing 6 inches this heavily cut crystal egg is astonishingly lovely and interesting to study. The intricacies of the cuts are fascinating. The Egg is covered with a lattice cut that acts as background for the wreath cut that frames the lens of the egg, but the lattice cut itself is the frame for the large Romanov Dancing Balerina that gives the egg its name. Look through the lens and you are looking down a proscenium arch at a magnificently executed Romanov balerina. Made and engraved by hand in St. Petersburg.
