.This quilt started with the black squares which have beautiful red roses in them. I added a black/white print, a red imprinted with roses and a grey printed with tiny white flowers as a complement to the black squares. The border is the same red fabric with a tiny matching grey outer border. I\'ve quilted with grey thread with a straight stitch throughout, creating a trellis effect. It is machine pieced and quilted on my sewing machine, not a quilting machine.
The back is a grey cotton imprinted with white roses and there is a red rose print inset in both directions.The batting is bonded poly andit\'s machine washable in cold water, gentle cycle and may be air or machine dried on low.
This quilt would be a great addition to any room ... on the sofa, on a wicker set, in the dorm room, as a wall hanging and a welcome birthday, retirement, get well, anniversary, shower or housewarming gift.
