Authentic WWII wood trunk from a Navy Veteran that served in the Seabee NavalConstruction. This is identical to the one my Father used when he served in the U.S. Navy Seabees. These trunks wereusedin the war to store their tools and guns, whatever theyneeded to build and protect. I have since found his original and now have this one up for sale.

All wood construction, brass latches, strong leather handle. Does have lots of marks and wear from use but overall is very solid and nice. Measures approx. 22\" x 14\" x 7\" on outside box.

Their moto was \"We Build, We Fight\". They built major airstrips, bridges, roads, warehouses, hospitals, gasoline storage tanks and housing and defended our country at the same time.

My Dad loved telling me how they would put up \"Welcome\" signs for the other military when they arrived after the Seabees had already built everything up before their arrival.

Proud to say my Dad was a fine carpenter.
