This is an original, vintage, mechanized, toy robot produced as a marketing device for the television show \'Lost in Space\' from the 1960\'s. Remco Industries Incorporated was a toy company in the U.S.A. from the 1940\'s until 1971. This particular toy was produced in New Jersey in 1966. I was around then watching all of Irwin Allen\'s sci-fi television shows in the 1960\'s and playing with the toys that were generated from these shows. Lost in Space was my favorite. Over the years-I have had three of these robots in my collection. I am retired now, and the wife and I mutually agreed that my collection needs to be liquidated. That is why I am selling off collection. This is by far the best condition of any of the three that I have had in my collection. Although you may not be able to see it in the pictures, this robot is blue with red claws and legs as depicted on the picture on the original box. The robot is a dark navy blue, where the picture is a much lighter sky blue. The box is original and is missing only the original price tag from the front top. The box shows its age (50-51 years), which is why I included a picture of the top. Overall the box is in good shape other than it is dark due to dirt and dusk over the years. There are no missing parts, and the metal contacts on the bottom are in great shape with no corrosion. The robot even comes with the original packing claw protectors used for shipping. There is also a direction sheet included with the battery bar that retains the two D-cell batteries. **Batteries are not included! I can not attest as to whether the instruction sheet is original or not. I believe that it is a photocopy. I have tested the robot within the last several days, and it is working perfectly. The motor is strong, the wheels are in great shape, and all the parts are functional (including the light bulb in the chest plate). The bubble head piece has the separation in the seam, but it is to a minimum from what I have seen in most others. This robot has been taken care of used mainly as a collection piece.
