Brass Gang Bullet Mold NM Nathan/Nathaniel MillerJosiah Miller and N. Miller were both mold makers. The family lived in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This four cavity bullet mold casts lead balls measuring .69 cal (the largest) and .54 cal (the smallest) Miller is believed to have worked in the mid 18th century. During this time and during the American Revolution, .69 cal was a typical size shot used in muskets of the period. In fact imported French muskets were of that caliber. The mold is ingood condition. There are nicks, scraches, rust and pitting on the mold, all consistent with its age. This is a rare Colonial item worthy of a collection of Revolutionary War Period Items. The mold measures 5 1/4\". Wood handles would have been placed on the brass handles for use.
