Antique New England (Kentucky) rifle. This is a project gun ~ needs a new stock, lock and much TLC. Made by Silas Allen, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Silas Allen was born in 1750. He served as captain of militia for the militia in Shrewsbury. Made Kentucky and New England type rifles. Signed his arms S. Allen. Died in April 1834.Cherry wood stock, brass fittings, swamped barrel, original sites, barrel length 29 inches, about .58 cal., riflings are fair condition only.Converted to percussion at some time in its history.This is a classic revolutionary period flint lock New England rifle. Needs to be restored. Included is a Russ Hamm percussion lock. Missing the hammer. Nose cap is a Ted Cash product.Feel free to email for more information. Thank you very much to an astute follower.
