ThisBlacksmith made.69 caliber bullet mold could have been used with a variety of guns. Muskets of this caliber were used during the AmericanRevolutionary War, Mexican AmericanWar and into the American Civil War,

like the modle 1816 or the 1842 musket.

The mold is6 1/2” long. The bullet cavity is about .673 in diameter, the correct size for a .69 caliber musket. There are some nicks, scraches, rust andpitting on the mold, all consistent with its age!In the pictures you will also see a sprue cutter built into the handles.

This will make a great addition to any musket collection!
