Ian Douglas Smith, GCLM, ID (8 April 1919– 20 November 2007) was a politician, farmer and fighter pilot who served as Prime Minister of Rhodesia (or Southern Rhodesia) from 1964 to 1979.

This Flag was signed by him at a gathering of Rhodesians in Laughlin Nevada.

His signature is on the white portion of the Flag just below the Rhodesian Crest.

The Flag is a 3\' X 5\' nylon replica, and has been stored in a sealed bag for most of it\'s life.
