What we have here is a very very rare and super cool Ribbecke Vintage 1982 Solid Body Bass.You won\'t see another one of these any time soon! Its 1 of only 4 made, and they where only made between 1978 and 1982.Its engraved on the larger brass back panel that it was made by Tom Ribbecke, 24th instrument made and 1982. Its a very understated design, amazing wood without gaudy!
The flames are thick and 3D, the pix don\'t even come close to showing how nice the wood is.Inlays are abalone, back plates and side markers are brass, details and workmanship is top notch and all by hand.Original very early Badass bass bridge.Original pre-amp was recently upgraded to a Bartolini 5.4 A/P 5 knob, 2 Switch configuration preamp using existing holes.Controls:

Active/Passive switch
2 hum/single switches
Light for when preamp is on

Plays easily and very fast with great string response.The sustain acoustically is amazing! Its incredibly harmonic with the preamp off.
With the preamp on the sustain is almost infinite as is the tonal range!A huge sound ranging from a killer John Entwistle piano tone to a powerful chunk!
