Rick Cain Limited Edition \"Winged Fortress\" 261/5000

This is my favorite Rick Cain Limited Edition Bald Eagle. It is a very low edition number. From the Master series this piece was retired long before it reached the edition of 5000. Copyright 1986. This rare majestic piece stands 16 1/2\"H X 18\"W X 10\"D. It originally cost $350. plus tax.

If you are looking for a perfect piece this is not the piece for you. It has been shipped at least twice, moved by movers three times, and cleaned and dusted many times. But, it is a great example of one of Rick Cain\'s early limited edition pieces. All of Rick\'s Limited Edition pieces have minor differences. So, unless you are a super collector and/or perfectionist this is a terrific piece. Other than his Gallery pieces, it is also one of the largest.

I have a huge Rick Cain Collection – mostly bald eagles and wolves. But, I also have all member pieces, other wildlife, dragons, and super rare pieces. Almost all the pieces in my personal collection are hand signed. If you don’t see the piece you are looking for in my other sales message me with what you are looking for. ARTIST INFO

Since a very earlyage, Rick Cain has been pursuing a career as an artist. While most young boys’dreams of their future change dramatically over time, Rick remained true to hisconviction that he was born with a creative talent. Born into a military familyin 1953, Rick found security and strength in his artistic ability during hisadjustment to numerous moves around the country. Every day he would work toteach himself the techniques that have remained constant in every medium inwhich he has worked - great attention to detail, depth and dimension in boththe human and animal form. Rick began working with wood at the age of twenty.He progressed rapidly past merely creating designs in the wood and discoveredan ability to \"release\" the shapes and images inherent in the wood.By this time, Rick had settled in Florida and the indigenous tropical hardwoodslent themselves beautifully to the wizened old men\'s faces and graceful formsthat Rick created. Within months, Rick Cain was showing at his first artexhibit. His professional career flourished with participation in hundreds ofjuried art shows, exhibitions and recognition through numerous awards. In 1988,Rick made the decision to offer his work in limited editions. Rick Cain\'soriginal works as well as his limited edition sculptures are in private andpublic collections throughout the world.

I do not have a box big enough to properly ship this piece. Once sale is completed and payment received I will acquire a box, wrap it, and get it weighed.
