Sealed, unopened, kept in climate controlled cabinet!

Purchased in the 1970\'s, this reed quality cannot be replaced!

This is a box of 25 NOS (new old stock) Rico Bb Clarinet Reeds strength 5, \"V\" style that was originally purchased in the 1970\'s and are still sealed and unopened. The cane in these reeds are at least 40 years old, from the era of less polluted higher quality bamboo cane and cannot be duplicated today. Due to the current fluctuations in cane quality around the world, these older reeds are more desirable, despite their current higher price valuation. If you search on the various Woodwind, Sax and Clarinet \"internet boards\" you will find conversations about how many players prefer the older vintage reeds, who\'s qualities cannot be duplicated anymore. And the fact that this box is unopened and still sealed makes it even more desirable, since there is no chance that a professional player may have gone through the box and picked out the choice reeds (just in case there might be a special one).

Don\'t forget that you can very easily shave down the reed to make it a softer strength reed a great price.

Note: picture is of a grade 4 reed. I could not find the correct picture, but I have the correct grade 5 reed.

Regarding the price, if you go to the Woodwind Brasswind store site, you will find that new, un-vintage reeds are selling for $34.95. Based on the rarity of these reeds, the starting sale price makes this a bargain! Especially since the manufacturers\' suggested retail price is $72.25!

Unfortunately, due to the fragility of reeds and their easiness of cracking, this box will only be able to be returned if they are still sealed and opened.We will be glad tocombine sales to save you some money on shipping.
