This sale is for a Ridgways display platedepicting Edinburgh Castle, and the Scottish National Gallery. This plate is an older Ridgways plate, however, I am unsure of exact age. The Ridgways hallmark on the back of plate tells me it was made some-time after 1891. Primary color of front of plate is gold, in varying levels of shading. Picture of the National gallery and Edinburg castle is in black and gold. There is a gold stripe that goes around the entire rim of the plate. The picture is in good condition, and shows good detail. Primary color of back of plate is a mustard color. There are two holes that are incorporated into the plate to allow for hanging.

Condition of this plate is fair to good. This plate has glaze crazing throughout, front and back; crazing is light, however throughout plate. On the back of plate there is a chip and darkening towards the bottom of the plate; this is not noticeable from thefront-side. Picture number six in the picture gallery for this item shows that chipped spot detailed above. There are three dots in the glaze of the back of this plate, however, those where a result of the firing process.

This plate measures 9\" in diameter, and plate is about 1\" deep.
