This VERY RARE originalglass platephotograph is of the 3rd Class Reading Roomon board RMS OLYMPIC and is identical tothat on boardher twin sister, TITANIC.The room was the heart of the Steerage, third class community andthe main meeting room. Panelled in pine, it wasfinished in enamel white with teak furniture.
This image was usedby the White Star Line in their promotional brochures for Titanic & Olympic and distributed by travel agents (see 2nd image - brochure NOT included in this sale).
Size is approx. 3.25\" x 3.25\" and although there is a crack in the glass, there is no loss of imageon this 105 year old slide.
This is ahighly collectable,superb artefactwhichWILL continue to appreciate in value.
