Our own Soul of the WarriorGladius POMPEII \"CENTURIO II\" Design boasts a realBONE handle, wooden pommel and guard in hardwood, proper brass inset on guard, proper blade with no ricasso, proper tip, an excellent scabbard in vegetable tanned leather that can be dyed to nearly any color! One Piece blade and tang (not a welded on end piece!). Scabbard has been redesigned for theCENTURIO II version with improved design that is very accurate and true to designs recovered from the fields of history. Scabbard is based on the one pictured in Bishop and Coulston Page 81, Figure 5, with images from Christian Miks, Plate A549. Blade is based on page 79 figure 2 of B&C. Ready to hit the field out of the box! The pommel nut is brass. Blade is forged mild steeland is approx 22 inches long (overall is about 30 inches) and will take an edge (we do not ship them sharpened) and is2 Inches wide. The ring attachments are SOLID finally. The brass rings are soldered shut, and the leaf rosetts are now integral to the side rails of the scabbard!!! (No more lost pieces). MUCH MORE SOLID DESIGN!!
