Hand made vegetable tanned leather Pera bag or loculus for use on a Roman Legionary Furca pack bundle. Heavy vegetable tanned (period proper) leather base is hand sewn with waxed linen threadand super durable. 2 inch depth allows you to add all your camp essentials and extra clothes! Proper ring and stud for the ocerlap closure and heavy brass rings on each end to secure to your furca pole. Strapping is an even heavier brown leather that will last a lifetime. Support crosses of the same strapping leather on front and back complete this excellent piece of kit. Outer edges are reinforced ont he inside with an extra strip of veg-tan leather. Bag will accept leather dye as well as neatsfoot oil. This service is available as an add on for additional costs, email us as necessary. Note that dying or neatsfooting will add 5-7 days to order shipment time due to the need for curing and multiple applications.

This model has no top handle. One can easily be added if you want to have one and save a few dollars! Or use this special design and be different.
