The 15 year service Medal was instituted by Royal decree no5713 ofSeptember 261913 to be conferred to re-hired sergeants for fifteen years of dignified and honerable military service. The medal is bronze and is oval shaped (35mm x 29mm) and has XV on the lower obverse. The medal is suspended by a double sided wreath made up of 20mm long laurel branches.
