Ostindia, first introduced in 1932, was inspired by a fragment of china salvaged from the cargo hold of the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg, which sank in 1745. It remains one of Rörstrand’s best selling designs and was recently honored with the accolade “Service of the Century” in Sweden. .
The cup measures 3 1/4", the saucer measures 5 1/8" and the side plate measures 7". All threepieces are in excellent USED condition.This is the original/vintage pattern, not the updated version now produced by Rorstrand.
