About the Artist - Patricia Kness
“Studying art is a life-long adventure. I vividly remember declaring, in the third grade, that I would be an artist”.
After teaching art for many years, Patricia has just retired. While teaching she stressed her philosophy on painting. “Getting the gesture, rhythm, and mood of the painting and getting it quickly. In landscape the light changes, in portraiture the model gets tired and in floral still life the flowers wilt”. Besides, she says, “A quickly painted painting reflects enthusiasm and energy while tapping into the soul of the artist”
