Royal Canadian Artillery Officer\'s Bullion Cross Belt and Pouch, Victorian.:
$730.88

Royal Canadian Artillery Officer\'s Bullion Cross Belt and Pouch, Pouch shows Queen Victoria\'s royal cypher \"VRI\" with guelphic crown over top. The guelphic crown was used by a number of Canadian regiments/corps from about 1894 to 1902. Overall condition is better than one would expect for this type of item from this period. Leather is flexible and not dried out. Bullion has tarnished somewhat with time but metal fittings are still reasonably bright with original finish. Stitching on pouch is all intact while some of the stitching that holds the bullion web/lace onto the cross belt has come undone, three areas at about 1-1/2\' in length. Pouch and cross belt are original to each other. A similar style of pouch is pictured in the publication \"Cataloguing Military Uniforms\" by David Ross and Rene Chartrand, The New Brunswick Museum. This is a complete and rare piece that seldom comes onto to the market. Shipping will be through Canada Post with tracking and insurance. Disregard \'s calculated shipping cost as it is likely inaccurate. Please contact me for accurate shipping. Buyers outside Canada or USA should contact me first before offerding. If you are the successful buyer on this item, please wait for an invoice from me at the end of the sale. Thanks.
