Description and Condition

This sale is for a pedestal fruit bowl produced by the world famous Royal Doulton factory in Stoke on Trent, England.

It forms part of the highly prized GLORIA range and features a vibrant, colourful design of stylised flowers and foliage in Art Deco fashion. The bowl is numbered D 4937 which would imply first registration in 1929 and the bowl is typical of the period.

It is in good display condition for it\'s vintage. There is some crazing to the piece which has become stained to the interior. In addition there is a firing flaw to the body (as shown ringed) which shows as a surface type cracking. This has occurred at time of manufacture and does not greatly affect display.

Any white marks in the photos are due to light reflection.

Size - 17.7cm (7 inches) wide and 8.3cm (3.25 inches) high

Markings

Stamped to the base with the 1920s/30s Royal Doulton lion and crown mark MADE IN ENGLAND (as shown in the attached photograph for your reference).

Insurance

Your item will be insured against loss or damage .

If normal delivery option is quaoted then signed for deliveries can also be requested at the end of the sale at a cost of an additional 95p for UK buyersor £3.50 for overseas.

Exceptions - Customers from the Russian Federation please note that we will only send items by Royal Mail Signed For and that the additional £3.50 charge will be added at the end of the sale.

Packing

All our items are packed securely, with a combination of chippings and bubble wrap to ensure safe delivery.

Overseas Combined Shipping

We will always combine shipping for multiple purchases to give you the cheapest possible delivery costs. Packages weighing up to 2kg will be sent via Royal Mail. Packages in excess of 2kg may be sent by courier if this is more cost effective for you.

If you have purchased multiple lots please wait for an invoice before making your payment.

Exceptions - Customers in the Russian Federation please note that we will only combine shipping up to a maximum of 2kg. We will not ship by courier to these destinations.

Import Customs Duty
