Description:
For yourconsideration is this stunning art deco trio produced by RoyalDoulton. All pieces have a backstamp for the c1928-1932 plusthe name \" Poppy \" and the No: V1247. The saucer hasan imbedded No: 1735 and the side plate 1734.
Decorated oncream china are these beautiful sprays of poppies in shades ofyellow, lemon and orange with greenfoliage. A single midgreen band and a small poppy surrounds the interior of the cup. Thegreen band is also found on the saucer and side plate and on the footto the cup. All rims are trimmed in gold. Each piece hasa beautiful ring when lightly tapped.
Thecup measuresfrom rim to handleapproximately 11cms and rim to rim 9cms and 7cms in height. Thesaucer measures approximately 14cms in diameter and side platemeasures 17.5cms diameter.
This would makea superb addition to any china collection or grace any tea party. Please view all photos as this is part of the description/conditionand excuse any camera glare.
Mychina is pre-loved and may show signs of use, firing specks, ash,glaze bubbles, kiln marks, imperfections and minor wear. Allmajor faults found will be described in the conditions. Anyrequests for further information or additional pictures will beprovided.
Condition:
Thetrio is in very good condition. The gold trim is in excellentcondition showing only some very minor wear to the handle of the cupand this can be seen in photo 7. There are a few light usagemarks to the set and some stray flecks of paint to the rims of the saucer and side plate mark thatis under the glaze and would have happen during production. These faults have beenmentioned for accuracy and do not take away any of the beauty to thisstunning set. There are no chips, colour/pattern loss, cracksor restoration & no apparent crazing.
