Royal Doulton Art Deco Seriesware Savage Cooper NURSERY RHYMES - D5187 Rex Mug:

You are invited to offer on a super little Royal Doulton \' NURSERY RHYMES \' A \' Seriesware Childrens Mug. This series, designed by William Savage Cooper proved very popular when it was introduced in c1903 & features illustrations depicting over 18 different nursery rhymes. Featured on this particular mug are the nursery rhymes \' There was an old woman who lived in a shoe \' and \' Little Tom Tucker sang for his supper \'. There were 2 different sized mugs produced in this particular shape and this is the slightly larger sized version of the two. A lovely little item.

Condition:The mug is in very good used / pre-owned condition and I can see no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines or glaze crazing. There is tiny little brown mark on the inner top rim and some very minor wear to the Tommy Tucker transfer when it was originally applied that really are mentioned purely for accuracy.

Backstamp:On the base of the mug is the printed Royal Doulton lion backstamp with the handwritten pattern numbers D5187 below it in black lettering.

The mug is @7.5cms (@3 inches) high and @10cms (@4 inches) in diameter including the handle. I estimate the parcel will weigh @500gwhen packed.

It may be boring but it is important information so do please take the time to read the following.
