Royal Doulton was an English company producing tableware and collectables, dating from 1815.

Operating originally in London, its reputation grew in The Potteries, where it was a latecomer compared to Royal Crown Derby.

Doulton was popular for stoneware and ceramics, under the artistic direction of John Slater, who worked with figurines, vases, character jugs, and decorative pieces designed by the prolific Leslie Harradine.

Doulton products came to the attention of the Royal family. In 1901 King Edward VII sold the Burslem factory the Royal Warrant, allowing the business to adopt new markings and a new name,

Royal Doulton. The company added products during the first half of the 20th century while manufacturing fashionable and high-quality bone china.

The figurine is entitled “Blithe Morning” designed by L Harradine. The figurine is a lovely woman standing with golden red hair, brown eyes, wearing a ruby red gown with a floral shawl and lavender blue flower in her hair ;

she has rosy cheeks and holds a lavender hat . . Stamped with the Royal Doulton hallmark HN 2065 and signed this is a retired piece they were made from 1950-73

This piece does not have the original boxes however it will be professionally wrapped with care.The figurine would make a great gift, the perfect one to start a Royal Doulton collection, or to add to an existing one.
