This is a precious 8\" plate by Royal Doulton from The Owl and the Pussy-cat Collection. This is one ion a series of four bone china collectors\' plates from original artwork by Christine Thwates. This is dated 1987 by Royal Doulton. On the front of the plate is printed \"Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling your ring?\", Said the Piggy, \"I will\". So they took it away and were married next day By the Turkey who lives on the hill.\" Beautiful soft colors showing the couple being married, cake, champagne flutes and all sorts of special little drawings! Truly a special piece for any collection!!
