This character jug is dated 1959 and was made by Royal Doulton porcelain and pottery manufacturers in England. It is entitled \"Merlin\" and is model D6529. The handle is an a owl and the jug is hand painted and finished in a high quality gloss glaze. It is in vintage condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and measures approximately 8-1/2\" tall and about 7 1/2\" wide. Please see the photo showing the stamp and marks on the bottom of the jug. In the top black hair area shows some slight surface scuffing from paper storage. You would have to look hard to see this. Otherwise this is a beautiful piece. It is very hard to show this area in a photo.Questions welcome before offerding.
