A perfect example of early Kingsware. Here\'s a quote from page 59 of Jocelyn Lukins book \"Collecting Doulton Kingsware\" - - \"the Dame\"can appear in various poses and even different hats. Also, it can be either plain or tube lined with \'Hearts Content\' or \'The Cup That Cheers\'and with or without silver mounts. The design number is D1099 issued in 1901, making this teaware one of the earliest Kingsware designs\".

The pot is 6\" tall and 9\" wide (from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle).

Once again, considering it\'s age (over 100 years old) it\'s an absolutely fabulous piece.

Note: Any white spots you see are simply lighting glare. Also, DO NOT put it in a dishwasher - it is NOT meant for high temperature! Another quote from Jocelyn Lukins - - \"The body, being so soft and the glaze being prone to crazing, it doesn\'t make a suitable container for hot liquids and won\'t take a lot of \'washing up\'\".
